10 Day Hormone Health Reset (Part 1)
Do you feel like a different person half of the time? That is the hard part about hormones - they can make you feel AMAZING, or they can make you feel out of control. If you feel like you are in the downward spiral of hormone madness, stay tuned! I am Jenny McDonald, and over the next 2 weeks we are going to go over 10 simple things that can help reset your hormones.

Step 1: Reduce Sugar and Refined Carbs
Did you know that blood sugar spikes can disrupt your hormones for hours after eating? Cutting back on sugary snacks and processed foods helps keep your energy stable and reduces inflammation - two keys to hormone balance.
Have you ever noticed that after a bad night's sleep, you crave junk food or feel extra stressed? That's your hormones talking! Prioritizing 7-9 hours of quality sleep helps refulate cortisol, melatonin, and even hunger hormones like ghrelin.
Step 3: Move Your Body, but Don't Overdo It
Think you need to hit the gym hard every day to stay healthy? Overtraining can actually spike cortisol, making it harder to balance your hormones. Instead, focus on strength training, gentle yoga, or walking to keep stress in check while staying active.
Step 4: Eat Healthy Fats
Are you avoiding fats to "stay healthy"? Time to reconsider that! Healthy fats like omega-3s from salmon or walnuts are essential for hormone production and brain health.
Step 5: Manage Stress
When life feels overwhelming, your body releases cortisol - a stress hormone that can throw everything else off balance. Try simple practices like meditation, deep breathing, or even just taking a walk in nature to bring cortisol back down.
These first 5 steps can make a huge difference in how you feel. Ready for the next 5? Stay tuned, and next week Part 2 of this blog will have you on the road to supercharging your hormones!
